Blue Shield of California and the Los Angeles Kings, a National Hockey League team, partnered to build four new organic gardens for YMCA locations.
According to the story on the LA Kings website:
As part of the LA Kings G.O.A.L.S. program, the group built "Organic gardens at the East LA, Wilmington, North Valley and East Valley YMCA locations. Combined, these facilities are estimated to serve over 20,000 patrons on a monthly basis, 150 of which are engaged in new programming pertaining to healthy foods and gardening."
