Blue Shield of California Announces Todd Mayhew as Vice President of Talent and Organizational Development

SAN FRANCISCO (July 18, 2017) — Todd Mayhew has joined Blue Shield of California as vice president of Talent and Organizational Development. He is responsible for talent acquisition and staffing, leadership development, organizational development, performance management, and diversity and inclusion.

Mayhew has more than 18 years of human resources experience. Prior to joining Blue Shield, he served as managing director of Human Resources at Mitsubishi Financial Group, where he led both the Human Business Partner and the Employee Relations Center of Excellence teams at Union Bank North America. He also held leadership positions at Citigroup and Bell Canada.

"Todd has demonstrated success in developing and motivating large teams and has a wealth of experience leading and executing talent strategies globally," said Mary O’Hara, Blue Shield’s senior vice president and chief human resources officer. “We’re thrilled to add him to our team to ensure we provide the right opportunities for employees to grow and fulfill our business strategy.” Mayhew reports to O’Hara.

Mayhew earned master’s degrees in both industrial relations and public administration from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Wilfrid Laurier University.
