Blue Shield of California Announces Chris Jaeger as Vice President of ACO Strategy and Program Development

SAN FRANCISCO (January 9, 2016) --- Chris Jaeger, M.D., M.B.A., has joined Blue Shield of California as vice president of strategy and program development for the nonprofit health plan’s Accountable Care Organization (ACO) program. He will be responsible for developing new ACO programs, establishing collaborative provider relationships and leading technical integration initiatives with care providers.

Jaeger has more than 20 years of clinical practice and medical informatics experience. He was most recently chief information medical officer at Sutter Health, where he was responsible for evaluating and implementing health information technology systems. He also served as Sutter Health’s vice president of Medical Informatics and co-director of electronic health record hospital applications.
