Susan Hallett Joins Blue Shield of California as Vice President of ACO Strategic Partnerships

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 1, 2016) --- Susan Hallett has joined Blue Shield of California as vice president of strategic partnerships for the health plan’s Accountable Care Organization (ACO) program. She will be responsible for managing the development of Blue Shield’s collaborations with health systems and medical groups across California.

Hallett has more than 25 years of leadership experience in health plan management. She most recently launched SWH Healthcare Consulting, where she served as a member of the Medical Network Advisory Board at Quorum Consulting. Prior to starting her consulting firm, Hallett was the Western regional vice president of medical cost management at Cigna. In this role she led a cross-functional team of contracting, provider relations, medical executives, medical informatics and compliance, and was accountable for total cost management, regional earnings and membership goals.

Hallett also served in leadership positions at Great West Healthcare, Aetna, Prudential Health Care and Premera Blue Cross.
