Blue Shield of California Announces Steven Young as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (July 25, 2016) --- Steven Young has joined Blue Shield of California as vice president and chief information security officer. He will be responsible for driving the overall security program, proactively identifying risks and developing strategies to mitigate threats and promote safe information management practices.

Young brings more than 25 years of information security experience to Blue Shield, most recently as chief information security officer and vice president of Security and Risk Management at Kellogg Corporation. In that role, he created Kellogg’s first global Information Technology security organization.

Previously, Young held leadership positions at Lucent Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Anderson Consulting and Anheuser-Busch.
