Blue Shield of California Announces Diana Gibson Pace as Vice President, General Manager of Premier Accounts

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (February 17, 2016) --- Blue Shield of California today announced the promotion of Diana Gibson Pace to vice president and general manager of Premier and Labor Accounts. She will be responsible for the program, product and account management teams.

Gibson Pace served as the interim Premier lead since October 2015. She first joined Blue Shield in 2012 as the director of Sales for Premier and Labor Accounts. In that role she led a team of sales executives and analysts charged with business development and sales strategies. She also managed the National Accounts and BlueCard teams.

Prior to joining Blue Shield, she spent more than a decade as regional vice president of Major Account Sales at Health Net, where she developed new business with several Fortune 500 companies and worked with clients through consultant/brokerage distribution channels.

“Throughout her time at Blue Shield, Diana has distinguished herself as a strategic thinker and strong advocate for our clients,” said Michelle Simpson, senior vice president of Employer Markets. “While we conducted a rigorous search for this role, her leadership, ability to deliver results and commitment to the customer distinguished her among other candidates.” Gibson Pace will report to Simpson.
