There are many fires happening in California. Our governor has declared a State of Emergency. We are working hard to ensure the safety and care of all Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan members during this time.

We are sending you this email because you are in an affected county.
Here is how we can help
  • If you need help now, call the customer care phone number at (800) 605-2556 [TTY: 711].
  • If you are in mandatory evacuation zones, you can immediately refill your prescriptions even if they are not due to be refilled.
  • If you are in a mandatory evacuation zone, Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan will reach out to you if you are in a care and disease management program to ensure continuity of care.
  • You can access Behavioral Health Services at (855) 765-9701. For mental health emergencies, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at (800) 273-8255.
  • If you are in an affected area, you can get a replacement pair of lenses and/or frames. You can use non-network providers as needed with claims paid at network costs. Please call (800) 877-7195.
  • If you have been displaced, you may see an out-of-network provider at in-network benefit levels. You may also replace medical equipment and supplies, if needed.
  • If you have lost your member identification card, you can print a new card on our website at blueshieldca.com/promise.
We want to ensure the safety of all affected members and respond to their urgent care needs. As we get more details we will share updates. Please visit our website for updates on plan services. For fire status updates and affected areas, please visit CalFire.

In times like these, it is vital to work together. As your health plan, giving you access to the care you need is our top priority.
